You will feel in control of yourself and ultimately feel confident with good hairs. Hair fall is affecting patient psychologically ( cosmetic disorder). Now a day, many peoples are suffering from hair loss. Khalitya is commonly seen in the age group of 18-40 years. Hair fall is more common in males than in females. Incidence of “Khalitya” (Hair fall) is Increasing day by day. Khalitya (Hair fall) is the most commonly seen in young and old age. changing lifestyle, unhealthy dietary habits, sleep disturbances, systemic diseases, medications and stressful life, some hormones disturbances, depression, autoimmune diseases, shock, nutritional deficiencies , family history of hairfall ,as genetic factor these all plays major role in hairfall. Khaliya has been described in Ayurveda under the heading of kshudra roga (minor disease) or shiroroga (diseases of head and scalp),kapaalagata vikara. It has been included in shiroroga by Acharya charak[1] ,Ashtanga Hridaya[2] ,Ashtanga sangraha,[3] .Acharya Sushruta[4] ,Yoga ratnakar[5] and Madhavnidan[6] classified it under the kshudraroga. It has been included in shirkapalgata roga by Acharya Sharangdhar.[7] Khalitya is Pitta dominant TridoshjanyaVyadhi i.e. Vata, Pitta, Kapha with Raktadosha. Hair related to asthi dhatu. Elevation of doshas can lead to hairloss .According to modern science it is termed as telogeneffluvium , Alopecia or baldness[8]. In modern science many drugs are used for treating hair fall but they have some limitations due to their adverse effects. Hence people are moving toward Ayurveda as it is the only herbal and natural option to treat disease. We can reduce and manage this problem of hairfall through modifying lifestyle, purification therapy and medication practicing in Ayurveda. we can treat hairfall by knowing which doshas and dhatus involved in hairfall process.
